Joe Moore and Company is a refractory and boiler service company. Serving the industry since 1957, Joe Moore and Company has been family owned and operated for over six decades. Certified by ASME and NBIC, the company holds the NBIC "R" stamp and the ASME "S" and "U" stamps. Joe Moore and Company sells and installs all products related to refractories and boiler operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Weld using the Stick, Mig, and/or Tig method. *Stick Welding is preferred*

· Fit up pipe or other materials necessary for the job at hand

· Prepare boilers for inspection and perform other routine maintenance

· Troubleshoot boilers, pumps, and controls, identifying and addressing potential issues

· Safely remove and install tubes in boilers and other heat exchangers

· Comply with ASME and NBIC standards when repairing or fabricating all pressure vessels

· Keep record of work and fill out all code paperwork accurately

· Assist with installation of refractory where necessary

· Maintain good communication skills and work effectively in a team atmosphere

· Display a customer focused approach working to solve customer problems and ensure customer satisfaction

· Must pass welding tests and certifications under Joe Moore & Company’s code program

· Must have the ability to understand, retain, and pass all required safety training material and classes

Physical Requirements

· Frequent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, and reaching. Occasional twisting, crawling, pulling, pushing, and climbing

· Material handling and able to lift 55lbs regularly with occasional team lift of heavier items

· Pass all required vision tests including peripheral, color, depth perception, and other tests

· Able to work in varying environments including hot, humid, dirty, dark, and working at heights

Qualifications

· Driver’s License

· High School Diploma or GED

· 2+ years of relevant experience

· Ability to read and use mechanical drawings and blueprints

· Problem solving skills and strong work ethic

· Customer focused and flexible to meet their needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
