Thermo King Michigan, (TKM) is seeking a skilled Diesel Refrigeration Shop Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Refrigeration Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing TKM Units. This is a hands-on in shop position that requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. If you have a passion for working with diesel trucks, auto or truck mechanic experience, and enjoy troubleshooting and fixing mechanical issues, we pay well and would love to hear from you.

Qualification and Experience Preferences:

Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service mechanical equipment.
Experience reading electrical and refrigeration schematics.
Own your own Tools to work on transport refrigeration equipment.
Able to be on call one weekend every 6 weeks.
Able to be on call one dedicated night during the week.
Have a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.
Clearly document the diagnostics and repairs that were performed.
Write and speak English.
Proficient with a laptop or tablet and Microsoft Windows.
Prefer candidates that have EPA Section 608 and 609 certifications.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by the candidate to successfully perform certain aspects of the job.

·Able to lift 60 pounds to waist height.

Able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb on ladders to get to equipment. Able to climb in and out of semi-trucks as well as work underneath trucks and buses.
