EQYO Motion Tech is looking for talent ready to use their technical/engineering background and contribute to our business growth through consultative sales and business development. The Technical Sales Associate will develop, manage & grow a $7-12 million portfolio for Saint-Gobain’s market leading brands, NORGLIDE® Bearings, RENCOL® Tolerance Rings and our latest innovation SPRINGLIDE™ Energized Bearings. While collaborating with a well-tenured Sales & Business Development Team, the incumbent will partner with high volume, international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier One suppliers, & their respective engineering teams, to develop custom designed component solutions for use in a range of applications for customers in the most demanding industries, including Automotive, HVAC, Bicycle and Electronics. Current areas of emphasis include mechanisms, seating, steering, and powertrain. This role requires a self-motivated and self-directed individual. Essential functions include: • Take over current $7 to $12 million annual business and work with customer technical personnel/engineers to establish product performance criteria and provide initial design concepts to solve customer issues. Coordinate communication between EQYO and customer engineering to see projects evolve into new business. Partner with customer technical personnel/engineers to establish product performance criteria and provide initial design concepts to solve customer issues. Manage all commercial aspects of the accounts including price negotiation, contracts, price increases, and profitability. • Prospect targeted industries for new Norglide and Rencol applications and work closely with overseas colleagues to coordinate worldwide projects and customers. • Consult with OEM engineering to get Norglide and Rencol products specified and develop and grow key customer relationships to maximize customer potential. • Work effectively with all internal departments and personnel and participate in relevant internal/external sales meetings and training programs
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
• Bachelor's degree in a Technical field is required • 1+ years' working in Engineering or Sales field • Must be able to read drawings and be able to interface with engineers on technical aspects of application. • Proven relationship building skills and commercial awareness, to understand the customer's business needs and identify plans to deliver them. • Have a flexible approach to working to meet the customers engineering needs. • Effective influencing and communication skills with the ability to understand and explain technical concepts to different levels required. • Have excellent analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
