Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, construction, and maintenance. This role involves working on various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial installations. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems are installed and maintained according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with NEC standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment, such as ammeters and ohmmeters, to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Work on sites to build and install electrical for new projects.
- Perform high voltage work safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation practices.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams related to electrical work.
- Familiarity with high voltage systems is preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for installation and repair tasks.
- Experience with frame carpentry is a plus, as it may be required for certain projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid electrician's license or certification is preferred but not mandatory depending on local regulations.
