Job Details:
I&E technician installs, modifies, and repairs electronic equipment, instruments, and electrical components ranging from 12 VDC to 480VAC. The equipment is used in processing, transporting, and metering of natural gas primarily in the Barnett Shale.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in installing all instrumentation and electrical components safely.
- Troubleshoot problems with control systems and electrical systems associated with natural gas production
- Install conduit including GRC and plastibond and proper installation of EYS seals in accordance with NEC requirements, pull wire, change motors, and maintain motor controls and cathodic systems
- Ability to read P&ID?s along with electrical drawings
- Interpret plant drawings and diagrams
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot end devises, alarms, ESD?s, photovoltaic systems, VFD?s, and metering/measurement devises
- Experience with Emerson Fisher ROC, FloBoss, SCADA, Rosemont, Vega, Olium Tech, Weatherford
Qualifications:
- Minimum GED or High School Diploma
- Valid Texas Electrical Journeyman License
- Ability to read and understand safety requirements
- Thorough knowledge of electrical systems 120 VAC ? 480VAC and 12VDC ? 48VDC systems
- A valid Texas Driver?s License
- Ability to pass background check and MVR
- TWIC and ISN certs a plus
- Minimum of 3-5 years of electrical and instrumentation experience preferably in Oil &Gas Industry
- Basic computer skills
- Working knowledge of class 1 div 1&2 in NEC
- Basic knowledge of PLC operations and logic
- Ability to speak fluent English and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work alone or with minimum supervision
Requirements:
This job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, vest, and gloves always), respirator when required. Able to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts. Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job
