As an HVAC Tech for Valleywise Health, you will positively impact people's lives by ensuring our heating and cooling systems work correctly so our team can help care for our patients. As a critical member of our facilities team, the HVAC Tech will be responsible for repairing and maintaining all HVAC components within the organization. You will keep and test Air Conditioning Units, Air Handlers, VFDs, Ice Machines, and all other elements of our HVAC systems. The HVAC Tech will help oversee five clinics and our new hospital opening in October 2023. Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.

EPA-certified refrigerant recovery is required

Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.

A boiler operator certificate is preferred.

Journeyman's license or 60 credit hour HVAC certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.

Must have working knowledge of fire protection codes, plumbing, and other building systems codes, OSHA requirements, and knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures.

Proven ability to perform HVAC maintenance work and follow directions in the daily performance of duties is required.

Must have the ability to work independently with limited guidance.

Must have excellent communication, organizing, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.

Creativity, initiative, independent thinking, and problem-solving skills are strongly preferred.
