We are earnestly seeking an ambitious, confident, and competitive Vice President, Rental Division, to lead the critical Rental Sales area of our business into the next realm of growth, as WARE has grown to be an industry rental leader. This rare and highly sought after opportunity is a crucial position in our organization, working closely with the President and Senior Leadership to make sure WARE is continually challenging status quo and evolving, anticipating and meeting our customers’ needs before they are even asked.
The high-energy and high-stamina successful candidate will be a doer and driver, ensuring WARE’s Rental Department is first-to-market with innovative solutions and thinking. He/she will have a successful boiler sales background and be a highly analytical and strategic risk-taker. He/she must be able to act with a controlled sense of urgency, quickly and effectively making decisions to meet the demands of the 24/7 emergency nature of the boiler industry.

- Working alongside the President and Senior Leadership, cast vision and use critical thinking skills to map out paths to hit specific short- and long-term goals
- Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the boiler industry, leveraging this knowledge to identify, bid, negotiate and close sales opportunities
- Dynamically motivate and lead a growing Boiler Rental Sales Team, ensuring each team member is well trained, set up for success, and collaborates with other team members to exceed team sales goals
- Develop yearly budgets for Rental Sales, Equipment Sales, Special Project Sales, and Capital needs
- Develop strategic plans for department and fleet growth
- Collaborate with Marketing team on department tactical, communication and messaging needs
- Monitor and analyze the sales pipeline
- Maintain and continually cultivate strong and healthy relationships with partners and customers
- Review and negotiate complex sales contracts
- Establish rental rates and set profit margins on stock equipment
- Establish pricing for long-term rental proposals as well as multiple unit requests
- Establish pricing on the sale of boilers in the rental fleet on a job-by-job basis
- Analyze utilization of boilers in fleet and historical average unit pricing to forecast fleet addition needs and budget
- Oversee other WARE rental divisions around the nation and team members, including units and sizes dedicated to that division
- Review and approve changes to rental units within the rental fleet
- Review and approve pressure vessel improvements within the rental fleet
- Design containers/trailers/systems for the Special Projects division
- Oversee the design of new rental equipment including controls, equipment selection and layout
- Review and approve all used equipment offered to WARE prior to acquisition
- Review and approve all legal documents for the Rental department including NDA’s, contract revisions, rerent agreements, MSA documents, etc.
- Present to customers and groups on Rental Contingency plans and various other topics
- Review open jobs in the system and monitor/delegate/move forward as needed
- Provide technical and design support to team
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of demonstrated leadership and successful sales experience in the boiler industry, with deep knowledge of boilers, burners, controls, and other equipment
- Extensive experience in steam system design and application
- Demonstrable track record of overachieving sales targets
- Proven success in achieving results through others, setting performance goals and deadlines
- Proven abilities in developing and motivating team members through coaching, knowledge-sharing, and modeling
- Exceptional problem solving, reasoning, and analytical skills
- Outstanding customer relationship management skills
- Strong creative/design/spatial skills
- Excellent mathematical and organizational skills
- Highly self-motivated, professional, and resourceful with a contagious competitive spirit
- Superb communication and presentation skills, effectively connecting one-on-one, within a group, across the organization, and while presenting to large audiences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
