Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fire sprinkler fitting and a strong understanding of construction site operations. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and installing piping systems according to established codes and standards. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools, stick welding, and basic math skills to ensure precise measurements and installations.
Duties
- Assemble and install piping systems for various applications, including fire sprinkler systems.
- Fabricate pipe sections using appropriate materials and techniques to meet project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and standards to maintain safety and quality.
- Rig pipes and other materials as needed for installation or transport on construction sites.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Perform stick welding as required for pipe connections or repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of installed systems to identify any issues or necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on the construction site to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pipefitting or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety regulations.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices such as calipers.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
