Plummer Development Company is a premier builder in the Highland Park, Lakewood, and Oak Cliff neighborhoods. We focus on residential and small multi-family construction projects and are looking for a Junior Superintendent to join our team.
The Junior Residential Construction Superintendent is responsible for the onsite supervision of all construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications. This role requires high attention to detail, effective coordination of subcontractors, and proactive problem-solving to address quality and scheduling challenges.
- Provide onsite supervision of construction activities, ensuring quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Coordinate daily activities and schedules of subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Monitor the installation of products and materials, ensuring they meet project standards.
- Maintain proactive communication with team members, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding project status and needs.
- Conduct weekly planning meetings to schedule upcoming work and ensure material orders are fulfilled.
- Perform punch-list verification, addressing deficiencies and communicating expectations clearly to subcontractors.
- Prepare monthly forecasts for materials and subcontractor scheduling to maintain project flow.
- Manage the project budget and timeline, making decisions as needed to keep the project within scope.
- Strong attention to detail for quality control and assurance.
- Analytical skills for reviewing plans and specifications.
- Proven experience with construction scheduling to manage project timelines effectively.
- Strong communication and persuasive skills to resolve issues and ensure deficiencies are promptly corrected.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Smartsheet, and Bluebeam PDF for project tracking and documentation.
- Ensuring high quality of work while adhering to tight schedules.
- Managing subcontractor scheduling conflicts.
- Projects completed on or before the scheduled deadline.
- Projects completed within or under the allocated budget.
- Timely resolution of quality control issues and scheduling conflicts.
- Base salary of $65K-$80K
- Performance-based bonus structure of up to + $30k
- Vehicle stipend.
- 3% retirement match.
