POSITION OVERVIEW
Support the technical service department at ACI Mechanical and HVAC Sales with all lines ACI Sales & Supports.
POSITION DETAILS
ACI Mechanical and HVAC Sales, a manufacturers rep firm based in Seattle with three locations in the Pacific Northwest is looking for a Technical Specialist. This person will be responsible for supporting the growth of ACI’s Field Support Group, The position works closely with the technical team at ACI. The successful candidate will leverage their industry experience in all HVAC aspects and help manage the technical relationship with our customers and manufacturing partners. A thorough understanding of HVAC systems and associated controls is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Alongside a ACI technical team educate key customers with the benefits and advantages of the products ACI represents, specifically our brands and their advantages
● Works collaboratively with VP of Engineering, Sales Engineers, and General Managers to serve customers while helping ACI reach sales goals
● Establish professional credibility with key customers based on product knowledge
● Provide input for the design, development, and implementation of new products with key manufacturers to meet the unique needs of the customer base
● Work closely with our contractors / manufacturing partners in professional manner while assisting with troubleshooting, installation and startup issues or warranty related matters either onsite or remotely
● Always prepared to visit job sites as needed and solve problems when site challenges present themselves to meet our customer / manufacturing partners timeline
● Act as subject matter expert for products that ACI represents
● Provide startup assistance on all lines ACI Sales & Supports.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is an individual contributor, but due to the nature of experience required and “subject matter expertise” expectations, this role is a high influencer for the engineering and sales team.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience directly related to installation, service, maintenance or repair of HVAC Systems and/or Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in HVAC/R. Ability to read and understand control systems specifications and drawings. Basic networking experience for BacNet, TCP/IP, ModBus, N2 and other applicable protocols
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts to selection software from our manufacturers. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. In more simple terms use the calculator on your phone with skill!
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular and/or off hours. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/manufacturers/contractors or independently as required achieving internal and external customer satisfaction. Ability to work in extreme temperatures. Ability to pass a background check. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. The ability to perform the following physical activities: climbing, heavy lifting, crawling, working in confined spaces, pushing/pulling, carrying equipment, bending, turning, kneeling. Must be comfortable on roofs. Must be able to handle loud noises.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Approximately ≥40% travel required, typically for customer / manufacturing partners assistance, contractor training, warranty repairs, start-up & pre-start verification, installation review, corporate meetings, customer entertainment or manufacturer led training.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
