Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair dehumidifiers, sump pumps, and related systems in residential properties. This role involves maintenance tasks, inspections of crawlspaces and basements, and delivering top-notch customer support. With potential commissions from successful upselling, you have the opportunity to increase your earnings based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned residential properties to perform technical tasks
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair dehumidifiers, sump pumps, and related systems
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as filter changes, part replacements, and system cleaning
- Inspect crawlspaces and basements for moisture, mold, or structural issues
- Explain findings and recommendations to homeowners
- Maintain accurate records of tasks, parts used, and time spent
- Ensure tools and equipment are in top condition; report any malfunctions
- Communicate professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Upsell products or solutions to homeowners, with potential commission
- Follow safety protocols, especially in confined spaces
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification a plus
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or similar mechanical systems; knowledge of dehumidifiers and sump pumps preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time on-site effectively
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, such as crawlspaces and basements
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety procedures
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Excellent communication and customer support skills
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable with frequent bending, crawling, and standing for long periods
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including damp and dusty areas
