Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both commercial and industrial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in various electrical systems and the ability to read blueprints. This role requires a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the capability to work with high and low voltage systems. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Perform renovations that involve electrical work, including upgrades and modifications to existing systems.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to electrical installations.
- Work on both high voltage and low voltage systems as required by project specifications.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including frame carpenters, to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into building projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while working on job sites to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and the ability to build according to specifications.
- Experience with various power tools used in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Ability to perform both high voltage and low voltage work competently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other tradespeople.
- Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.

Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
