Your Impact:
As a Pearce HVAC Mechanical Project Manager, you will lead the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of commercial systems. This role requires comprehensive technical knowledge, strong project management skills, and the ability to ensure projects meet budget, safety, and timeline goals.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead Installation Projects: Oversee HVAC installation, replacement, and upgrades of commercial cooling systems, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage schedules, resource allocation, and project milestones for efficient project flow.
- Team Supervision: Direct and oversee HVAC installer crews and subcontractors throughout the installation process, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards. This role is 50% travel. Candidates should reside in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, or Kentucky.
- Site Coordination: Travel to remote work sites as needed, inspect job sites, ensure compliance with OSHA, FCC, FAA, and EPA regulations, and address any onsite issues.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete daily reports, track project progress, and maintain accurate documentation to support project objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Quality Control and Testing: Conduct performance checks on upgrades and seasonal equipment, verifying system functionality and quality.
- Permitting: Experience with State/Local/Federal mechanical permitting and codes.
- Mechanical Drawings: Able to read and understand technical specifications and construction documents to meet engineer and customer’s requirements.
Core Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in commercial and/or industrial HVAC installation project management. Data center experience desired.
- Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- Proven safety record of large-scale installations.
- Comprehensive understanding of HVACs, building management systems and controls, electrical, and hydronic systems.
- Strong communication skills for conveying project goals and expectations.
- Proficient in all HVAC systems, particularly with cooling, and ventilation, and knowledge of mechanical, and electrical components.
- Proven project management and oversight experience completing projects on time and within budget.
- Work with customers and be able to revise project scoping and submit change orders accordingly.
- General knowledge of testing, adjusting, and balancing systems.
- Physical/Work Environment:
- Compliance with OSHA standards is mandatory.
- Ability to utilize a phone, computer, and tablet to monitor projects, complete reports, and communicate with teams.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient ability to use Microsoft Suite and CAD programs (e.g. Adobe Illustrator) to view and edit any/all customer, engineer, and government documents.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations is required.
- May require passing a DOT physical.
Compensation: Annual Salary: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00/DOE
