Our Team
We need the Risk Data team within Model Risk and Analytics (MRA) to keep our Purpose, Strategic Aims and Values & Behaviours at the heart of everything they do and to make sure that we are a responsible and safe pair of hands for our customers’ and investors’ money.
This is your chance to dive into an exciting role, playing a pivotal part in major bank-wide projects and helping to look after our day-to-day data management and you’ll be monitoring and validating Risk data, ensuring it’s rock-solid for a wide range of stakeholders. We’re on the lookout for someone who can help us push our capabilities to the next level.
As a Risk Data Analyst, you’ll design, develop, and maintain critical Risk data. You’ll have the opportunity to sharpen your technical skills, drive innovation, and improve processes in a dynamic and growing environment. Collaboration and support are key as we work together to achieve our team and department goals.
What you’ll be doing
- Sourcing and development of new data feeds and datasets.
- Extraction, manipulation and validation of data to support other business units and fulfil regulatory obligations.
- Applying your insatiable curiosity to identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiencies.
- Providing SME knowledge for Risk data for various stakeholders.
- Helping us run our standard processes and supporting regular tasks.
- Supporting Senior Analysts on more complex projects.
We need you to have
- Excellent communication, listening and writing skills. An ability to listen, understand and respond professionally.
- An eye for detail is key as you work to a high degree of accuracy, ensuring you always get the basics right and identify inconsistencies.
- The ability to overcome obstacles, be accountable and use your initiative to do the right thing whilst keeping our purpose at the heart of all you do.
- Experience in building trusted relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- A proven logical approach to problem-solving in relation to both technical and business issues.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel).
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
- Coding experience (e.g. SAS, Python, SQL).
- Experience in MI applications such as PowerBI or similar.
- Previous success at creation and/or analysis of Management Information (MI).
