Job Summary
As an HVAC Design Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects from different geographic locations. This position plays a key role in the completion of new residential projects. You will be responsible for producing accurate HVAC Designs and load calculations based on floor plans and builder specifications. You must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be highly organized, and have a keen eye for detail. This position can be remote.
General Responsibilities
- Create Manual J heat load calculations, Manual S equipment selections, and Manual D HVAC duct layouts using Wrightsoft software.
- Ensure that calculations, selections, and designs comply with Energy Star requirements, ACCA recommendations, ASHRAE Standards, and AHRI certificates.
- Generate takeoffs to produce material/equipment lists for the estimating department to price and the starts department to initiate installation process.
- Utilize proprietary software to extract data to inform your HVAC designs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Wrightsoft and AutoCAD MEP
- General knowledge of the construction industry and building science
- Familiarity with MS Outlook and Excel
- Associate degree in Drafting and Design or similar field or technical trade school certification
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, such as working indoors for prolonged periods sitting at a workstation and viewing a monitor.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
