As a Service Technician, you will be the primary technical interface between Cahill Heating and our customers, ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who excels in a fast-paced environment, seeks challenges, and thinks creatively to troubleshoot, test, repair, and operate machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Testing: Install equipment and conduct trial runs to ensure performance meets established specifications both in-house and at customer locations.
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heating equipment, document actions, and maintain accurate records.
- Diagnostics: Diagnose equipment failures and make necessary repairs to resolve technical issues.
- Quality Control: Conduct tests to investigate design proposals and improve equipment performance.
- Documentation: Complete paperwork accurately and timely, including data entry and use of computer systems.
- Training: Train customer employees on equipment maintenance.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service and support to customers, ensuring their requirements are met.
- Safety: Maintain and promote safe working conditions in accordance with regulations.
- Travel: Ability to travel as needed, including long-distance and international travel.
- On-Call: Operate onsite in an on-call capacity as required.
Qualifications
- Technical Skills: 3+ years of technical experience in a field customer service environment preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Customer Service: Demonstrated superior customer service skills.
- Leadership: Strong decision-making ability and leadership skills.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with inventory software, order processing systems, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequent standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
