Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste disposal in commercial and residential settings.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts
- Install pipes and fixtures such as sinks and toilets for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids
- Repair or maintain plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform plumbing tasks
- Welding experience is a plus
- Carpentry skills for framing and finishing work
Skills
- Proficient in plumbing techniques including soldering, pipe threading, fixture installation
- Commercial driving experience preferred for transporting materials and equipment
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints for plumbing systems
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Familiarity with basic math for measurements and calculations
