The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of HVAC and refrigeration systems while maintaining a superior level of customer service to our customers.
Essential Functions: include, but are not limited to:
- Quoting system replacements as well as repair and maintenance prices
- Electronically recording labor, parts, etc. for work orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicle and company provided tools
- Responsible for maintaining truck stock
- Assist in the training of helpers/apprentices
- Maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose system issues
- Communicate with customers as well as with office staff
- Collect payments from customers and turn in to Accounts Receivable
- Being part of the on-call rotation (7 days on call – including weekends)
- Ordering correct parts and materials for jobs
- Accurate timecard keeping
- Working out of town as needed
- Other duties as assigned by manager

Essential Qualification:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma/ GED/ or relevant work experience
Required Knowledge:
- Maintenance of HVAC units, Commercial refrigeration a plus
Experience Required:
- Maintenance of HVAC units
Skill and Ability:
- Expert level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to use significant independent judgment
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
