Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical work and be able to safely and effectively perform a wide range of tasks. This position involves working on various residential / commercial electrical projects, from service work to new construction and renovations, and requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations. The successful applicant will have a passion for building and renovating and be committed to delivering high-quality results.

Duties:
- Work closely with other trades, owners and contractors through project completion.
- Install, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including circuit breakers, switches, and wiring.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and plumbers, to complete construction and renovation projects.
- Use logic controllers and power tools to build and repair electrical systems.
- Utilize tools, such as drills, strippers, benders and saws to complete tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
- Install and test low-voltage systems, including lighting and security systems.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards or risks.
- Participate in continuous training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Complete set of hand and power tools (certain tools will be provided)
- Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in electrical work or a relevant trade.
- Possession of a valid UT journeyman electrician's license.
- Residential electrical experience is a MUST
- Commercial electrical experience is very helpful
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations, including the NEC.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to quality and a passion for building and renovating.
- Must be presentable and well kept
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
