Bixby Electric, Inc. is currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician for Transportation Electrical project! You will be expected to provide quality electrical service for a variety of customers.
Bixby Electric has been operating in all electrical markets across New Mexico and the Southwest for over 30 years. Markets include airfield, Transporation, commercial, industrial, Transmission and Distribution, and also self-performs in many other scopes of construction.
Responsibilities:
- Installs, maintains, and repairs traffic signals, street lighting, airfield lighting, landscape lighting, parking lot lighting, and all other civil and industrial related electrical, concrete foundations, and underground conduit installations.
- Complies with safety standards and procedures.
- Operates required equipment safely and efficiently, and ensures equipment is well maintained.
- Supervises and teaches subordinate line workers.
Qualifications:
- Valid Electrical License in NM EE98J, Colorado & Texas Journeyman preferred.
- Minimum 2 years Journeyman experience in the similar field.
- Valid Driver's License. CDL class “A” license required (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and be proficient in all areas of electrical construction including underground conduit installation, light pole signal erection, airfield lighting installation, and associated materials.
- Have a strong understanding of safe work practices and procedures.
- Skill in utilizing specialized equipment and tools required by the work performed.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Experience with, and ability to work out of bucket trucks, lifts, or other elevated platforms at relative working height.
- Ability to work from drawings, schematics, one-lines, blueprints, survey points, and staking sheets.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check required.
