Job Summary:
Contractdata is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Video Surveillance and Access Control Technician to join our team in Myrtle Beach, SC. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining video surveillance systems, as well as access control solutions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients by implementing state-of-the-art security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain video surveillance systems (CCTV, IP cameras, etc.).
Set up and maintain access control systems, including key card systems, biometric scanners, and more.
Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues related to surveillance and access control systems.
Conduct regular system tests and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with security personnel and IT departments to integrate security systems.
Provide training to clients on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
Keep detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a surveillance technician, security systems technician, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of video surveillance and access control systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of electronic security systems.
Familiarity with network configurations and IT systems as they relate to security equipment.
Must have a clean driving record.
Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and other high places.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and be on call as required.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites in and around Myrtle Beach, SC.
