Technical Services Manager
Summary
The Technical Services Manager oversees a team of HVAC technicians, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of technical services to the organization’s customers. This role involves strong leadership skills, a solid technical background in HVAC, and a track record of driving both operational efficiency and business growth.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers; address and resolve any issues related to service performance and budget adherence
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality HVAC services, maintenance, and risk management services. Assess departmental processes and procedures to determine best practices and standards
- Maintain computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, maintenance history and inventory management; additionally ensure regular inventory audits are completed
- Prepare detailed and accurate job cost estimates for HVAC projects; monitor and manage project budgets to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness
- Build high performing teams through recruiting, hiring, training, and development of employees. Implement metrics and key performance indicators to measure and improve performance.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship training to team members setting clear expectations, goals, and performance standards; establish key performance indicators and metrics to measure the teams’ performance and effectiveness
- Review and approve employee timesheets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
- Engage in employee relations by way of resolving conflict between team members, conducting employee investigations, issuing corrective actions based on findings in a fair and constructive manner
- Manage performance management process by collaborating with team members to establish goals, monitor and evaluate progress and performance, conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and address performance issues or concerns as needed
- Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and engagement among team members in a positive and inclusive work environment in alignment with the company’s core values: Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, and industry standards related to technical services, building codes, occupational health and safety and environmental regulations
- Develop, implement and manage strategies for work order management, labor hours, invoicing and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
- Ensure efficient and effective operations by developing and monitoring performance metrics and continuously improving processes
- Additional projects and team support as needed

Education, Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in HVAC in commercial industry required; mechanical contractor’s license preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented and ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and apply sound business judgement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office365 products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) preferred
- Able to maintain confidential information

Physical Demand Requirements
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures
- Lifting up to 50 pounds at times

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $81,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
