Position Responsibilities:
- Installs, connects and tests plumbing fixtures. Repair of plumbing systems, fixtures and accessories.
- Monitors and troubleshoots major plumbing breakdowns by diagnosing trouble, and repairing / replacing parts or taking other corrective action.
- Prepares accurate and timely written estimates of labor and materials for projects or major overhauls as required.
- Completes project work requests accurately and submits documentation as required.
- Maintains piping systems by opening clogged drains with plungers or other devices; snakes-out pipes and fixtures, replaces washers on leaky faucets; tests for leaks by filling pipe with water under pressure and checking fall pressure with gauges.
- Operates and uses specialized plumbing tools and equipment such as ratchet cutters, reamers,and jetter drain cleaning machine, pipe wrenches, chain wrenches and pipe vices
- Under supervision, installs irrigation systems including pumps, pressure tanks, sprinkler controls and connectors, maintains and repairs gas lines, valves, alarms and related equipment.
- Leaves equipment and work site in a clean and order condition.
- Conducts special repairs, modifications or installation in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Plumbing license issued by the county preferred & a valid FL Driver License with no more than 4 points.
- Technical School on related field.
- Ability to read service manuals and write complete job tickets, etc.
