The Inergize Health Service Technician is a proactive individual eager to meticulously assess, diagnose, repair, and validate our Chillers that have been returned due to warranty concerns. In this role, you will oversee the reception of machines, their restoration, testing, re-packaging, and shipping. Simultaneously, you will take customer service calls to update the progress of their repairs and take problem solving calls with customers. An optimal candidate will possess experience in heat pump repair, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the system's mechanics, including electronics.

Inergize Health is headquartered in Point Loma, San Diego, CA. Our product is a groundbreaking, all-in-one, portable cold tub that is revolutionizing the rapidly expanding cold-water immersion sector. Ideally the candidate can pick up the chillers, work on them at their location and return to the warehouse.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and label chillers while meticulously recording incoming data.
- Take customer service problem solving calls.
- Disassemble the machine, troubleshoot to pinpoint the issue, which may involve navigating uncertainties and employing trial and error in parts replacement for comprehensive issue identification.
- Rectify the problem and subject the machine to thorough testing to ensure the stability of the fix before returning it to the customer or reintroducing it to the field.
- Document the problem, solution, components used, and time invested to rectify the machine.
- Collaborate with Product Development, offering insights and recommendations on observed issues to facilitate improvements in forthcoming products.
- Partner with the Customer Service team to establish repair schedules and turnaround times, aiding them in communicating estimated machine return periods to clients.
- Oversee and systematize spare parts management, ensuring an organized inventory and ordering parts with elongated lead times to ensure availability when required.
- Recognize instances requiring machine descaling and propose appropriate descaling procedures.
Job Type & Requirements:
- Training or prior experience in heat pump servicing or related fields.
- Proficiency in comprehending power flow, spanning from outlets through capacitors and printed circuit boards to individual components, and ability to troubleshoot accordingly.
- Computer proficiency with software; Word, Excel, G Sheets, Slack, Asana, Email, etc.
- Experience with compressors, R410a, copper brazing, or firmware is advantageous.
- Capable of working independently with minimal oversight and achieving specified objectives.
- Effective cross-team communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, encompassing software like Word, Excel, G Sheets, Slack, Asana, Email, etc.
- Competence in using FedEx shipping software.
- A collaborative attitude within a small team environment.
