B.A. Morrison is looking to hire an experienced technician. Professional development opportunities available. Company vehicle available upon insurance approval.
Duties will include:
A. Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
B. Fabricates equipment parts for the purpose of meeting specialty needs and/or replacing unavailable parts.
C. Inspects HVAC systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.
D. Performs routine and preventive maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems.
E. Repairs heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g. heat pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.)
G. Orders equipment and supplies from approved wholesalers for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary repair.
H. Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns on scheduled on-call times. Ability to be on a rotating on call schedule.
Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- HVAC, mechanical education and training required
- New to the industry with basic knowledge of equipment and functions and relevant tool knowledge OK
- Basic computer skills for the use of email and the electronic work order system.
- Must be able to use trade-specific tools and have an understanding of the building/ electrical codes.
- Ability to use a number of electrical and other mechanical diagnostic tools and devices.
Pay: $25.00 - $42.00 per hr based on experience
