Job Objective: Provide support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems under the supervision of a professional plumber. The plumbing helper collaborates in tasks ranging from the preparation of materials to direct assistance in the execution of work, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Installation Assistance: Assist in the installation of pipes, plumbing fixtures, water heaters, drainage systems, and other related components.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Assist in the detection of leaks, replacement of damaged parts, and repair of existing plumbing systems.
- Materials Preparation: Assist in the collection, transportation, and organization of tools and materials necessary for the job.
- Work Area Cleaning: Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of work areas before, during, and after the completion of plumbing tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety instructions and company rules to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
- Inspections and Diagnostics: Participate in basic inspections and diagnostics of plumbing problems under the guidance of a certified plumber.
- Communication: Maintain constant communication with the head plumber and other team members to ensure project deadlines and requirements are met.
Requirements:
Education: Minimum educational level of completed high school.
Experience: Previous experience in plumbing, construction, or maintenance work is a plus.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of plumbing tools and materials.
Ability to learn and follow technical instructions.
Physical Skills: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy loads, working in awkward positions, and in varying conditions (indoors and outdoors).
Licenses/Certifications: Not required, but certification in workplace safety or technical plumbing courses will be a plus.
Soft Skills: Teamwork, responsibility, punctuality, and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Working Conditions:
Schedule: Full-time, with the possibility of overtime depending on the needs of the project.
Work Environment: Work in different environments, both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.
Protective Equipment: Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, helmets and safety glasses, provided by the company.
