WPD Management is a full service property management firm that specializes in the South Side of Chicago. We do both third party management and the management for our own holdings. We are expanding rapidly and excited about the opportunities in today's market.
We are looking for an experienced maintenance technician to complete repairs at the buildings we manage. Most repairs will have been ordered by the various housing authorities that we hold relationships with, primarily the Chicago Housing Authority. Experience and understanding of the CHA inspection process is highly preferred. We need someone knowledgeable that has strong communication skills, and will be able to operate with a high degree of autonomy after training and onboarding. Reliably commuting to work and completing jobs with a positive attitude will enable our next new hire to be successful.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Minor plumbing repairs
- Minor electrical repairs
- Carpentry
- Painting
- Minor hvac/radiator repairs
- Roofing repairs
Qualifications and Skills * Reliable transportation is REQUIRED (its likely you will travel to several sites per day)
- Reliable form of communication (working cell phone)
- Your own tools (company has some tools and can help with certain items)
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
