JOURNEYAN ELECTRICIAN needed for metro commercial/industrial Electrical Contractor. Family owned, fast growing, company that offers opportunities allowing you to do what you do best, in several of the most exciting and reputable commercial/retail businesses in the Twin Cities.
CURRENT JOURNEYMAN OR MASTER LICENSE REQUIRED. Work will include installation, alterations, additions and or repairs of electrical systems within the commercial and industrial industry.
Duties and Responsibilities: Perform tasks with general supervision. Possess the ability to read blueprints, terminate cable, install, and troubleshoot control wiring. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Proven leadership abilities, running projects, and developing Apprentices
· Install buss feeders
· Wire and conduit
· Switchgear installation and termination
· Layout and preparation for electrical installation ground up and remodel.
· Underground layout and installation
· Motor and control wiring and troubleshooting

Skills/Knowledge:
· Positively identify colors of wires
· Read blueprints, schematics and ladder diagrams
· Bend conduit, hand benders, hydraulic, and cyclops up to 2” , 4” a plus
· Use power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, knockout punches
· Capable of digging trenches (by hand or power equipment)
· Practice safe work procedures per company AWAIR Safety program
· Operate company vehicles and commercial lift equipment
· Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, and written instructions
· Working knowledge of current computer and software technology preferred
· Trouble shoot, repair a variety of electrical issues or problems
Physical Capabilities:
· Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead
· Lift 75 Lbs
· Climb ladders
· Tolerate repetitive movement of arms, hands, and fingers
· Work overhead for at least 50% of workday
· Tolerate working in all weather conditions (heat, cold, inside, outside, rain, snow)
· Work in restricted areas (electrical room, attics)

Requirements:
· Current Journeyman or Masters license
· Clean driving record and good credit score
· High School Diploma or GED
· Basic Hand Tools – multimeter amp clamp
