Who We Are: Smart Charge America (SCA) is a rapidly growing, privately held electric vehicle charging station installation and service company. As America's #1 choice for the purchase, installation, and service of residential and commercial charging stations, we take pride in everything we do. We are a team of knowledgeable, passionate professionals, dedicated to accelerating the electrification of sustainable transportation. We want to change the world and we want you to change it with us.
Who You Are: You're a master of your craft. You're dependable, professional, organized. You have an analytical mind and an inquisitive spirit. You love to analyze a situation and figure out the best way forward. You are safety minded and like to do things the right way, not the fastest way. People describe you as “hard-working,” “a problem solver,” and “flexible.” You’ve got a hunger for new technology and an appetite for success. You want to be the best.
What The Job Looks Like: Your job will be to install and service electric vehicle charging stations, about 70% being residential, 25% commercial, and 5% service. You'll have your schedule for the day in advance, so you'll be able to plan your time accordingly. Using your electrical knowledge and the information given to you by the HQ team, you'll ensure a safe, clean install or service of each station, each time. As with many electrical jobs, your daily tasks will be similar, but the environment may not. You will be installing and servicing charging stations indoors and outdoors and may have to access attics, basements, or other non-climate controlled areas. You'll travel daily throughout the Dallas area, but will be home in the evenings. This is a flexible contractor partnership and will provide supplementary income to you. You will be able to maintain your current workload; this role will help to fill in the gaps in your schedule.
What You’ll Need to Succeed: To be successful in this role, you'll need to hold a Master Electrician's license, a valid Texas driver's license, and have your own truck/tools. You must be able to pull permits independently. You will have 10+ years of experience in residential and commercial electrical work. You’ll have a base knowledge of electrical systems and electric vehicles, even if you don’t drive one yourself. (We’ll give you our specific training, but a working knowledge will be helpful!) Multi-tasking, time management, and staying organized will be critical for your success. You’ll be proficient in Google Suite and know how to effectively use a smartphone. Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing, strong interpersonal skills, and a problem-solving attitude will set you apart from other candidates.
What We Offer You: Smart Charge America offers a competitive contractor commission package. Smart Charge America pays per install/service. We provide training on the latest EVSE technology to make sure you stay on top of this ever-changing field.
