We are seeking a skilled HVAC installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to run a wide variety of HVAC installs including: furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, heat pumps, ductless systems, tankless water heaters, and ductwork, according to specifications and codes.
- Cast-iron and condensing boiler experience is necessary
- Must be proficient with soft soldering, brazing, and Pro-Press
- Measure and fabricate sheet metal fittings as needed for ductwork installation.
- Field fabrication of furnace plenums and able to install standard residential ductwork
- Connect wiring and controls for HVAC systems to ensure they are operational.
Perform startup and testing of HVAC equipment to verify proper operation and efficiency. Provide explanations and demonstrate system functions to customers after installation.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each installation job.
- Troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems and make recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HVAC installer or similar role.- Minimum of 10 years experience (preferred)
- Technical knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an HVAC apprenticeship program or vocational training is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors at residential and commercial sites.
- May require working evenings, weekends, or overtime hours as needed.
