Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Wireman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical work, blueprint reading, and using power tools. If you have a background in industrial electrician work and are adept at working with hand tools, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
1. Proficient in reading and interpreting One Line, AC & DC Elementary and Wiring diagrams.
2. Proficient in handling simple volt-ohm-meter and working with hand tools.
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting One Line, AC & DC, Elementary and Wiring diagrams.
4. Ability to quickly learn and apply test procedures for various types of substation equipment; communicate effectively with diverse groups, tailoring communication for audience and situation.
5. Ability to learn and apply client’s switching procedures and safety measures as required.
6. Ability to reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications.
7. Ability to perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management ability.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
10. Reasoning development: Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
11. Examines information, facts, and data, and draws logical conclusions from available information. Thinks under pressure and acts prudently concerning the safety of others.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in electrical work and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools for installation purposes
- Ability to use a voltmeter for testing electrical systems
- Knowledge of NEC regulations for electrical work
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
