Jomar Electrical Contractors is hiring General Superintendents & Foremen with proven background experience in new commercial construction in numerous locations across Texas.
Candidates must have experience running commercial projects from $100K to $1 million and hold a current Texas Electrical Journeyman license. Candidates for either position must have at least 2-5 years of experience in their perspective positions.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate craft personnel in support of the field fluctuating labor needs for activities related to electrical construction and maintenance.
- Direct, support, and mentor all subordinate supervisory personnel. Ensure compliance with safety and administrative requirements.
- Serve as senior technical advisor. Assist with difficult construction and start-up problems as necessary.
- Ensure all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to. Interpret policies as required.
- Assist with the implementation and interpretation of safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Participate in safety / incident investigations and reviews.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control programs.
- Monitor and resolve matters relating to work procedures, complaints, damages, accidents, and delays.
- Participate in the conceptual development of electrical construction projects and oversee their organization, scheduling, and implementation.
- Requisition supplies and materials for construction projects.
- Ensure superintendents routinely prepare and submit labor and cost tracking.
- Assist in the development of supervisory training programs.
- Provide expertise and technical knowledge to other home office department heads.
Requirements:
- Must have a Valid Texas Journeyman's license.
- Must have at least five - ten years commercial experience as a superintendent or foreman.
- Must be willing to work anywhere within 75 miles of downtown Lubbock.
- Must have good employment record with at least 3-5 years at prior employers.
Experience:
- Journeyman Electrician: 2 years (Preferred)
- Leadman: 3 years (Required)
- Foreman: 3 years (Required)
- General Superintendent: 5 years (Required)
