HVAC Apprentice
Titan Mechanical is a commercial multi-family HVAC contractor located in Manassas. Our current project ranges from Northern Virginia, Washington D.C. and Southern Maryland. Titan Mechanical is currently looking for a DC resident to enroll in our HVAC program. Titan Mechanical works through DC to provide educational opportunities to DC residents. Any DC resident that is enrolled in our program will only be working on our DC job sites.
What is the apprenticeship program?
The apprenticeship program is where employees will learn the basics and fundamentals of a HVAC journeyman. Through the program, the employee will learn about safety and professionalism in construction. The course also offers practical and hands on experience in using HVAC tools. Employees in the program will be tested on their knowledge as they progress through the course, in order to ensure understanding of subject material.
The apprenticeship program lasts four years. An apprentice will be attending classes twice a week, after successful enrollment. Titan Mechanical will be responsible for funding the apprenticeship program, so long as the apprentice regularly attends classes and follows the code of conduct outlined in our handbook. Once an employee has completed the apprenticeship program, they will be eligible to test for their journeyman's license with DC.
What we are looking for:
- Timely, eager individuals who are interested in developing a lifelong career.
- Can manage the responsibilities that come with full time employment while going to school.
- Has a valid driver's license or work permit.
- Can regularly arrive to jobsites by 7am, Monday - Friday
- Can reliably travel to our Manassas location once a month on Thursdays for our monthly in-house training.
While on a jobsite, the apprentice will help with basic work, until they have progressed further into their apprenticeship.
Job duties as follows:
- Clean up materials from a jobsite
- includes sweeping, collecting trash
- Take notes for the foreman on site
- Help move material on jobsite
- Assist with correspondence between foreman and the office
- Additional duties as outlined by supervisor
