Job Summary
FSI would like to hire Quality Control Manager for maintenance in a Healthcare setting. This role will perform quality control inspections of all critical systems, including but not limited to: Air cooled and water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, high efficiency condensing natural gas boilers, air handling units, fire protection/ suppression systems, industrial hot water heaters, mechanical water treatment systems, switch gear, diesel generator, elevators, and all associated components. Quality Control responsibilities will also include inspecting work requests performed using a variety of trades, along with inspecting preventive maintenance tasks performed on commercial equipment (HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing). This role will also monitor the workplace activities to ensure workers comply with company policies and government safety regulations.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Knowledge of codes, regulations, and standards including, but not limited to: NFPAs, ASHE, ASHRAE, NEC, UFC, IBC, and The Joint Commission.
- Performs Inspections, Identifies Corrective and Preventive Actions, and performs Follow-up Activities on work performed by FSI personnel and subcontractors.
- Develops and analyzes statistical data to determine present standards and establishes proposed quality and reliability expectations.
- Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures. Interprets quality control philosophy to key personnel in organization.
- Coordinates objectives with performance procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize equipment reliability and minimize costs.
- Provides inspection activity for preventative maintenance and service orders throughout the task cycle to include inspection of subcontractor work.
- Ensures that FSI meets or exceeds all Government contract requirements and Quality Control standards as outlined in the PWS.
- Responsible for administration of the Quality Control Plan (QCP)
- Authority to act on behalf of the Contractor, and direct removal, rework, or replacement of defective materials or poor-quality workmanship.
- Key contact with customers and responsible for ensuring the execution of corrective actions and ongoing compliance with customers' specifications.
- Prepares and Documents quality plans, policies, procedures and summaries, to include subcontract activities.
- Travel in a company vehicle to all contract locations is required to perform inspections as required.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager/Superintendent.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- The QCM shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in quality control evaluation and reporting in the fields of construction or facility management work and a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in comparably sized health facilities.
- Minimum two (2) years' experience performing quality control inspections of industrial/commercial equipment and two (2) years work experience in preventive maintenance or construction in an ambulatory healthcare setting of a similar size.
- Experience and knowledge of commercial/industrial equipment including, but not limited to: Chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled) and associated components, Cooling Towers, High-efficiency boilers, Air-Handling Units (VAV system), Hot Water Heaters, Switchgear, Diesel Generators, Mechanical Water Treatment systems, Fire Protection/Suppression systems, and Elevators.
- The QCM shall monitor the performance of the QC activities in all work centers covered by the contract and shall provide remedial training as necessary to the responsible personnel at other locations.
- Demonstrated skills in objective problem-solving and decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using basic Microsoft Windows based programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various proprietary security systems software.
- High school diploma.
