Industrial Commercial Systems is looking for qualified HVAC Start Up & Commissioning Technicians. This is a full time position that offers a competitive hourly wage (DOE), company vehicle, health benefits, 401K, and paid time off. We are looking for HVAC Start Up & Commissioning Technicians who are positive, organized, detail oriented, flexible, and a quick learner. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure when ICS completes a construction project, the HVAC/Plumbing systems operate as designed.
- Ensure a thorough project closeout resulting in client/owner satisfaction.
- Assist project management teams in daily coordination of start-up, commissioning and closeout activities.
- Ensure safe practices; be proactive in identifying project hazards to minimize risks.
- Thoroughly communicate, proactively plan, troubleshoot, and execute all job assignments.
- Installation Verification, Pre-Start-up checks, Start-up, & Commissioning of applicable HVAC/Plumbing equipment and components.
- Assist in coordination between ICS' sub-contractors including but not limited to TAB, Controls and Manufacturer's Start-up.
- Assist in the corrections of deficiencies found within ICS' Commercial Construction & SPG projects. Document significant deficiencies and lessons learned for process changes/training/continuous improvement.
- Be flexible with scheduling of assignments and be self-motivated to complete task in a timely manner.
- Basic knowledge of ICS standards, and remain current on applicable trade standards. Identify your training needs as required.
- Must research all applicable documentation (blueprints, specs, I&OM, submittals, etc.).
- Develop and maintain good-standing relationships with our clients; provide timely responses.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and company provided vehicle.
- Mentor & coach next generation of commissioning technicians.
- Hold ICS trade team members accountable; provide positive feedback or corrective action when appropriate.
Requirements of a Commissioning Technician:
- Must have proficient knowledge of various types of large commercial and industrial mechanical systems. Must fully understand sequence of operations for large systems.
- Commercial mechanical experience
- Ability to follow plans, diagrams, specifications, drawings, and blueprints
- Experience with control and building automation systems
- Provide efficient, diplomatic, professional customer service
- Must possess a clean DMV driving record
- Willingness to be a team player in a drug free environment
