Job Requirements
Required Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Certification, AND:
- 96 months experience in construction or building maintenance related to HVAC systems including 24 months in a lead or supervisory role.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of materials and tools involved in refrigeration repair and replacement
- Advanced knowledge of building codes and permits required
- Ability to read and design more complex schematics, blue prints, and drawings
- Ability to analyze complex problems, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions
- Ability to estimate costs of materials, labor, or outside contractors and ;consultants
- Ability to supervise
Certifications:
- Oklahoma Unlimited Mechanical Contractors License
- EPA Refrigeration Certification
- Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from the hire date
Advertised Physical Requirements:
- Physical: Standing and walking for prolonged periods. Reach, stoop, stand, bend, and reach. Ability to see color, depth perception, and clarity.
- Environmental: Exposure to extreme weather conditions. Regular exposure to irritating noises and safety hazards
Supervision: 16 Senior HVAC Mechanics and Leads
