HVAC Installation Technician
As an HVAC Service Project Installation Technician, you will collaborate with our mechanical projects team to complete commercial mechanical equipment changeouts, retrofits, and installations. Typical projects include the installation, replacement, and retrofitting of HVAC equipment, sheet metal/ductwork, piping, and other related systems.

Job Duties
- HVAC Equipment Installation: Retrofit and install commercial HVAC equipment, including RTUs, split systems, VRF & VRV systems, WSHPs, air-cooled and water-cooled chillers up to 300 tons.
- Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- System Installation: Install HVAC systems, including ductwork, electrical wiring, refrigerant piping, and threaded gas piping.
- Wiring and Controls: Install low voltage wiring and basic controls.
- Brazing and Soldering: Braze and soft solder copper pipes for water and refrigeration piping systems.
- Field Fabrication: Fabricate ductwork as required by the project.
- Documentation: Complete required electronic reports and documentation daily on a handheld device.
- Team Collaboration: Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate a company vehicle to complete projects within a specified territory.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of experience with commercial HVAC equipment retrofit and installation projects.
- Certifications: EPA Universal certification, OSHA 10 certification (provided by the company if needed).
- System Knowledge: Experience with water-cooled and chilled water systems, high and low voltage wiring of commercial HVAC equipment.
- Safety and Compliance: Comply with and promote the company Safety Policy.
- Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work independently and with supervision.
- Background Checks: Ability to pass a full background screening, drug screening, MVR check, and physical ability test.
- Travel: Ability to travel out of town as needed throughout GA and the Tallahassee area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
