POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Vice President of Construction that will provide support to the Project Managers and the HVAC Technicians by coordinating activities related to all projects, ensure the continuity and efficiency of each project from start to finish through clear communication to all parties involved. The Construction Manager will handle multiple projects within a fast-paced environment and is open to constant changes and challenges. The Construction Manager will handle both HVAC and Plumbing projects, therefore Plumbing knowledge is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once in the absence of day-to-day guidance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and supervise HVAC & Plumbing Construction Projects from inception to completion
- Lead the crew and is accountable for how the crew completes the assigned work and must understand and consistently apply the employer's policies.
- Accountable for following project plans and schedules and ensuring the crew's daily and weekly activities meet production goals.
- Be hands-on in the field to support and guide technicians, providing expertise and troubleshooting when needed
- Accountable for ensuring that the completed work meets standards and for recommending work processes that will improve productivity and product quality.
- Project billing with progress of construction
- Remain in direct daily contact with dispatch to ensure that jobs are being scheduled efficiently
- Ensure Safety within the department; report all safety issues / accidents immediately
- Work closely with the Accounting and Administrative teams to ensure timely approval of billings, payroll, financial reports, etc. as necessary
- Assist the recruiting, hiring, terminating, training and evaluating of the service department personnel
- Ensure the most effective time and resource management to meet customer needs
- Continuously evaluate technical ability of technicians; create and implement training programs to aid in their advancement

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
The Vice President of Construction will oversee jobs from beginning to completion, ordering material, managing install crews and project manager planning and execution of the jobs, supporting the construction department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of HVAC and project management experience
- 3+ years of experience in a managerial position
- Deep knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations is essential
- Team leader with excellent diplomatic and communication skills, able to handle and resolve conflicts effectively in a firm but fair manner
- Experience of Microsoft Office software
- Valid EPA License
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with BuildOps software helpful

Has ability to work remote when not required in office for project-specific requirements.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate the computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
