Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full Time
Hours: 8:30 am-4:30 pm Monday- Friday/ Weekends will be on call/ as required for events
Job Brief:The overall role of the Maintenance Technician role at Hope is Alive is to protect, improve, maintain, repair, and furnish all HIA facilities in your respective region. This includes HIA homes, appliances, furniture, office space, and equipment and ensuring that all HIA facilities are in livable and workable order at all times. Maintenance Technicians must be able to work with various Hope is Alive teams, Donors, and volunteers in a productive manner.

Must Be: Able to work across multiple trades, learn new trades, possess a valid Drivers License, manage a schedule, communicate effectively, travel to various Hope is Alive markets for periods of time & conduct yourself in a professional manner.
What You’ll Do:
- Daily/Weekly Activities
- Check and update project trackers.
- Maintain and establish a schedule.
- Make repairs in the most efficient manner available.
- Communicate to Program managers progress on repairs, both through phone call and via an up to date maintenance tracker as to status of repairs.
- Assess and respond to any household failure or malfunction of essential functions within 24 hours. (HVAC, Major Electrical, Plumbing, Hot Water tank failure)
- Complete in slack a what did you do today detailing the day's activities.
- Monthly Requirements
- Complete Monthly Routine Maintenance (MRM) protocol on all Regional Homes.
- Will relay any concerns with the houses in your region via email to PM, Direct report, and Director of Assets. (i.e. house cleanliness, yard work, furnishings, furniture moving, bedding, etc.)
- HIA Hosted in Home Event
- Make sure homes are fully functional and aesthetically up to Hope is Alive standards prior to events.
- Provide support as needed once approved by the Director of Assets for Hope is Alive hosted events.
- Events Team
- Maintenance Technicians will coordinate with the Events Team in planning and execution of HIA Events.
- Event Requests are submitted to and approved by Director of Assets
- Facilities team will provide logistical support for events.
- Maintenance Technicians will provide technical and setup support for the event.
