The Sr. Maintenance Electrician will undertake a variety of tasks relating to installing and maintaining electrical infrastructure. This position will involve installing electrical gear, panels, conduit, racks, electrical cable, equipment in an array of different types of buildings. Additionally, the Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts and wiring in temporary generators and distribution. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions and good communicators both oral and written. The ideal candidate must be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems with power generation equipment and distribution experience being a plus. The goal will be to produce and maintain well-functioning electrical distribution, equipment and connections to minimize the probability of accidents and maximize usability of electricity in all facilities.
Responsibilities

Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning power both engine driven and renewable, distribution, lighting and other electrical systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging environment.

Support electrical maintenance for large-scale, commercial manufacturing equipment.

Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components

Prepare and assemble conduits/racks and underground PVC and pull and terminate cabling productively to equipment and distribution panels

Perform infrared scans and preventive measurements to help prevent failures by inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables and electrical distribution and equipment.

Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
Education and Experience Requirements:
A Diploma in a relevant vocational training or successfully completing apprenticeship as an electrician. Valid license to practice the profession. Minimum of 10 years of documented experience and training as an electrician in an industrial/commercial electrical systems environment. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter, pullers, crimping devices, voltage and mega ohm meters etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Flexible scheduling to accommodate a 24- hour manufacturing facility.
