The International School of Texas (IST) is seeking a full-time Operations Manager responsible for various needs at our Bee Cave campus.

IST is a vibrant educational community of learners and leaders focused on global citizenship and critical and creative thinking. Students range from age 3 through Grade 9. IST is an independent, not for profit, secular private school, inclusive and welcoming to all.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Oversees building and grounds maintenance that includes basic to mid-level work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscape and other related tasks for projects that require attention to detail and careful planning

· Maintains up-to-date preventive schedules for all custodial functions

· Supports security and emergency preparedness procedures as needed

· interacts with and assists students, staff, visitors and groups during and after regular school hours to ensure needs are met regarding building use. Receive, document, and coordinate building permits. Provides set up, tear down and cleaning after activities. Responds to requests, last minute needs, unscheduled events, changes, etc. regarding building use. Move and set up furniture and equipment as requested.

· Purchases necessary tools and equipment required for all tasks

· Ensures quality of work throughout both campuses

· Supports all requested tasks made by the staff and faculty be it for inside or outside needs

· Supervises, reviews, and checks that work done by contractors and vendors is completed to standard

· Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical and facility modifications that provides optimal performance

· Communicates work safety standards to all staff and faculty

· Must comply with all code and regulatory requirements

· No criminal record and willing to undergo criminal background check

· Have a valid Driver’s License

-Rotating on call duty as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· 2 years' Facilities Technician experience required; HVAC experience preferred.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational, logistical, and problem-solving skills

· SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Pay: dependent on experience.
